Smell is of berry fruits and yeast with a nice kick of candied apples. Tastes almost vinous with Unibroues characteristic yeasty flavor. The flavor is lacking something when compared to la fin du monde and trios pistoles. I can’t put my finger on it but the body isn’t right or the carbonation level doesn’t fit in. I think it is a bit light on the palate. Good offering but not the best from this great brewer. enak (27), Australia

Aromas of strong citrus and pineapple. Poured a cloudy amber with a 2 finger head which held before subsiding.
Taste was fairly dry with flavours of aged green apple and grapefruit. Fairly simple bier without much evolution. Average in the line of Unibroue biers. Collint (460), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Hmmm, probably the least of Unibroue’s beers (of which I am generally a fan). Golden Belgian strong, with a nice carbonation and some decent retention. Pleasant aroma of sharp fruits and spice, and just a trace of pepper added to the taste. But it all diminishes too quickly, and things get a touch watery as well. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Jan. 2006 - Beer poured a murky yellow with no head or lacing whatsoever. Aroma was sweet and wine-like. Flavor was honey and white grapes...tasted like a white wine more than a beer. Not my cup of tea and won’t find it into my mug of beer again. nearbeer (1860), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Spicy yeast, citrus and maybe some coriander or paradise grains in the nose; smells like a Wit. Tastes like a souped-up, yet somehow smoother Wit: lots of yummy esters but excellent bittering from maybe citrus peel and Styrian? Doesn’t seem real complex, but is well-balanced and dangerously drinkable. Surprisingly hefty body (medium) is mostly smooth with some alcohol and hop tingle, and finishes almost dry. One of the better Unibroues I have sampled. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Pours a yellow honey color. Head is medium fizzy at first then turns into just a small ring around the glass .Smells of sugar, wheat, malt, vineagar, and yeast. Tastes sweet and fruity with a medium bitter finish. Mouthfeel is about medium range. cerberus9 (9), Canada does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Pours a cloudy golden with a nice white head.
