Bottle shared by Weepie. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color with a white head. Smelled of husky grain, spices, and sweet cream. Light to medium bodied. I tasted alcohol, clove, and cereal grains.

750 mL bottle. (bottled Dec 5, 2005). Hazy yellow with the usual sediment. Not much to distinguish this one from other, superior Unibroue offerings. Its aroma and flavour are both dominated by the usual Unibroue yeast and fruitiness. A bit of bitterness at the end. Not bad, but nothing special from these guys.

33cl. bottle from France big white head not long lasting, fair lacing, body color is light amber and cloudy. aroma is fruit and sweet spices (apple and cinnamon) initial taste is a little sweet and mostly metallic(green apple and banana), on palate is quite sweet with lively carbonation, final feel is long lasting metallic sensation. rather alcoholic

This poured with an enormous, foamy head with a bit of lacing, and nice hazy golden colour. Aroma was very subdued, pleasant but I couldn’t quite make out what it brought to mind. Perhaps every so slightly fruity? Taste was excellent, again somewhat fruity and some caramel at the end. Lovely, lovely beer.

Bottle.Ap: Golden hazy, small white head. Ar: Fruit sourness. Rhubarb, apple... Fla: Big fruity taste. Could have used some tartness in finish. Ov: Very interesting fruit dominated triple.

Ahhhh... Is this the point where I finally start craving Trips? Dammit, this is awesome. Well, most of the bottle has already found its proper place in my liver. I can barely type. This is the 4th time I’ve edited it due to just brutal typing skills. Poured out a decent white, foamy cap with some patchy lacing... beer is probably hazy gold hard to tell at this point. Lots of effervecence. (yes, i have no idea how to spell that properly tonight). The aroma is very fruity - pineapples are the most dominant. How often can one say that? Pineapples? Killer! Bread and musty scents, something quite fragrant - no distinguishable spice at this point. The taste is just excellent! Soft, smooth, subdued spices mixed in with a nice musty taste that blends in with a faceless fruitiness. This beer is excellent. I am not a fan of Belgian Trips so the fact that this is a mild version of one really works in my favour. Smooth all the way through, soft spice finish. Man, Iove this stuff. This is not the best tripel I’ve had but I’m not sure that I have enjoyed one so fully before.
