Shared with Cyn during her birthday party, happy birthday Cyn. KAME originally turned me on to this he said this was pretty damn nice, so I thought I’d try it. Bubbly orange with a thin tan head. Beautifal Apple Juice, and sweet and fruity nose. Taste is really mild and sweet, and apple really comes through nicely. This is a damn tasty mellow Belgian Strong Ale. Damn smooth and super well hidden alc. golubj (1300), Sunnyvale, California, USA

Aroma is some oxidized malt, green apples, some clove. The flavor is the same, and actually pretty nice. Sweet apples, honey, some slightly aged malt. alexanderj (2284), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of golubj; a dark gold color with small to medium head. Aroma of apples, honey, yeast and spice. Flavor was heavy on the spice, honey and apples. Some orange and vanilla. Aroma wasn’t too great and seemed dated, but the flavor was pretty solid. Alcohol was more present than I thought it would. ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 14, 2007 If this is in your cellar save space and drink it now. Pours a golden orange color with a small fizzy head that is gone in minutes. Smells of ginger, sugar, spice, and honey. Taste is harsh and astringent and is way too spicy. Very difficult to drink and I don’t think this beer will mellow over the years. 2004 is a bad year for Unibroue. LadySusan (491), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2007 75 cl. bottle. Pours a cloudy burnt orange hue with a white head. Sweet, spicy smell of cherries, orange, and cloves. Light bodied with a frothy, bubbly mouthfeel. Taste is of fruits, spices, yeasty with a decent malt presence. Reminds me of a sweet champagne.
Not my favorite style but a great beer. Another nicely crafted brew from the great white north. (Jan 2005)
