In the mouth, it’s sweet and citrusy, with a hint of the sourness coming back in. theviolet (169), New York, New York, USA

Perfect white head, with a deep golden orange body. Some sediment making it slightly tanslucent. Very sweet with notes of citrus and alcohol. Good warming in the finish. Great flavor. Full bubbly palate. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Hazy orange with candied and custardy aromas of apricot and orange marmalades and/or ham glaze and creme brulee. Toffee malt flavor with prominent candied orange zest, vanilla and rummy notes. Zingy pepper and hops arise on the finish. Another pretty decent Belge intepretation from Unibroue. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Aroma is apples, bananas, mango, and a hint of garlic (could be the focaccia bread I got baking in the kitchen). A gorgeous pour; caramel, lively carbonated head, sticky lacing. Flavor is of dark fruits plucked from the Garden of Eden, very spicy. Some peach and mango; other citrus. The finish is a bit hot. I like that. Very smooth despite this, like velvet. This is very good. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Pours a ultra-cloudy, particulate-filled orange-coppper with a slowly disipating off-white head that fades to a solid cap. Decent lacing. The aroma is very complex. It consists of ginger, apricot-mango glaze, cardamom, cookie, minimal hops (mild citrus), candied sugar and intense yeast. It almost smells like a general soa’s sauce or a sweet soy sauce. The flavour is heavy in dates, cardamom, lemon rine, candied sugar, drie fruits, all-spice, ginger, and steak tartar in the finish (no bulshit). The body has velvety smooth carbonation and is medium bodied. The finish is long and spicy. This beer gets no love and I don’t understand why. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark

The aroma has notes of raisin, candy sugar and cookies. The flavour has sweetness, notes of raisin, caramel, some alcohol. prunes, candy sugar, figs, cookies and candied peel. The body is good and it’s quite complex. 2413
