This style has grown old on me but I had to try it. Aroma was huge..cinnamon and fruits dominate. Pour was a cloudy rusty orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was huge and strong. Lots of yeast and spices. Some vanilla in there as well along with cinnamon and figs. This beer is all over the place and very complicated. Warms up nicely. Jukkabro (3039), Tampere, Finland
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2007 Dark orange colored, little yellow head. Anis dominates this aroma with fruits and some sour orange tones. Medium to full bodied. Flavor has also this anis with spices and drying hops, yeast also mildly there. Cinnamon in aftertaste. Still very big disappointment. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Bottled. Golden colour, lots of particles. White mediumsized head. Aroma is very spicy, vanillaish and some berries. Flavour gets pretty much the same stuff out of it, along with quite much honey and some nuts. Wellbalanced. larsniclas (3389), Gothenburg, Sweden

Hazy amber with a white head.
Very fruity in both aroma and flavour; figs, pumpkin, cardemomme, coriander.
Pretty sweet with notes of cookie-crumbs. nahthan (129), Oakland, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Bottle. Acquired at Whole Foods in Berkeley Summer of 2004. Stored at 45F ever since. Cork popped with aggression and almost jumped out of my hand. Big foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Lots of chunky yeast and sediment at the bottom of this bottle. Big yeast aroma. Reminds me of the smell of a Belgian wit. Strong cardamom flavor with big hints of dried fruit. Very muted hops. Lots of big malt flavors, but this is a pretty dry beer. Lots of carbonation. The yeast taste like they got a little out of control in the aging on this one, or maybe it was not stored properly before I acquired it. It’s got a little hint of spoilage, but not necessarily originating from any cleanliness issues. There’s a great beer behind this though. I should have drank it sooner (about 1 year in, perhaps). rickgordon (3319), Göteborg, Sweden
