| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Cloudy with an orange-yellow color. Quickly diminishing head. Aromas are layered hops, banana esters, bread, and smoke. Rich and long on the palate, which is a good thing so one can enjoy the complex flavors of this strong ale. A hoppy bite without tasting overly alcoholic. Creamy, yeasty and doughy. Prominent malts and a bready finish. Odeed (1677), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 15, 2004 bottle. hazy orange in appearance with a little bit of white lacing. yeasty aroma which gives way to some apple and spicing. a very rich aroma to say the least. WOW, fanastic stuff. very easy to drink despite it’s 10.5% alcohol. complex flavour. malty. well carbonated. dry with a pleasant lingering finish. VA Homebrewer (525), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 14, 2004 Amber color with a wispy tan head. Aromas of candy, artificially flavored fruit extract, background coriander and mild yeast. That peskily bad artificial fruit flavor overpowers any goodness in this beer for me. The makings of a great beer are there - solid malt body and appropriate spiciness, but they are overwhelmed by that artificial fruit flavor. Not up to par as far as I am concerned. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 11, 2004 Cloudy orange-copper color, aromas of menthol, tobacco and pepper. Flavors of leather, wood, mint, smoke, tobacco, chocolate, honey, lemon and pepper. Medium bodied with a perfect crisp, carbonated mouthfeel, finishes dry and spicy. Hard to believe this is 10.5% dangerously drinkable, I will have to get another bottle to age. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2004 Aroma is peaches, sugar, blueberries, alcohol. Very fizzy look, with an extremely big off white head. Alcohol is very well covered, fruity, malty, sweet. Syd (903), Waconia, Minnesota, USA

The aroma is cotton candy, yeast, and spice. The flavor is very spicy, yeasty, wheat, and alcohol with a rich and fizzy palate. Overall, this one is pretty good. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2004 This is certainly one of the best beers to come out of Unibroue in quite some time. Most of us are familiar with the rather consistent qualities of Unibroue beers, and this is no different, but it also has a nice, lightly spiced quality to both the nose and taste that is very good. A little more crisp than usual, as well. Very enjoyable!
