thank you to scott for bringing this to the hophead tasting! medium gold colored....a bit of straw and yeast on the nose....sweetish finish....ok.....could have been better a year ago?

Had this as part of a Unibroue tasting dinner. Poured amber with a small head. Honey and malty tones dominate. Spicy complex flavors that taste very different depending on what you are eating with it. Really went well with a bleu cheese salad. IMO this was tied for best in show in the tasting I did. If you can find this...grab as much as you can.

Bottle pours out a cloudy gold topped with a small head. Aroma of "old man with bengay on" ya someone else said it. I was thinking it.Tast of spice and yeast odd one.

Bottle: Hazy gold/copper pour with no head. Aroma is very strong; lots of spice, pine, mint, plum, pear, and some giner. A hint medicinal. Tastes a bit more medicinal with a rough fruitiness. More mint and pear, the ginger plays a stronger role now. A summary would be a hint of vinegar mixed with fruit juice and a sprig of ginger. Still a fun brew, thanks Jeremy for sharing.

Light orange amber with a small quick head. Rather medicinal and minty in flavor and aroma. Lively carbonation. Lots of spices and gingr even mabe. (thanks sam)

750ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber in color with full foamy white head. Aroma sweet, yeasty, fruity and spicy. Taste sweet, bitter, spicy and yeasty with bitter finish.

Bottle made 05.05.04...4 years and 4 months. Pours with a large, thick off-white head covering a hazy golden body with some slight particles towards the end. Lots of lacing and very good retention. Aroma of candi sugar, spices, appricot, cinnamon, clove, pears, honey. Tast is strong yeast some honey a bit of fruits and herbs. Slightly dry with light carbonation. Some light oxidation. Alcohol taste is mild, but there is some warming in my stomach. Aged well, but probably near or at its peak.

750 ml bottle. hazy copper/orange pour with a fair amount of carbonation to thin head. pear, apricot, rich malts, earthy and organic, tobacco, and a lot of spice in huge aroma. smooth and flavorful. well rounded. nice malt backing. fruit and spice large herb presence. I can’t really put my finger on exactly what it is but it gives this beer a very unique quality. lively palate. alcohol warming. this beer aged very nicely. very enjoyable.
