| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2003 Big, fluffy head. Cloudy, amber, "Maudite"-like appearance. Aroma of juniper, aniseed, celery seeds, rich malts and a hint of alcohol. Piney, junipery flavours mix with fat maltiness, and Unibroue's aggressive yeastiness. Very spicy, but tasty. Stylish, and inventive in the use of such overt spicing in a strong Belgian. fiulijn (7330), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2004 Cloudy light amber color; big creamy head. The aroma has a strong herbal touch (heather, mint…), with some malt and hop; magnesia. Good malty body, but not too sweet, again with an evident herbal note, and light liquorice at the end; too high carbonation and a bit too alcoholic. Good, but I don’t appreciate too much this herbal character.
