750mL bottle, courtesy of hopscotch (from a while ago, I believe). Thanks, Eric! Pours a murky, dark cola-brown color; very thin off-white head with minimal retention. Cola, caramel, and a touch of pepper / black licorice in the aroma; a bit muddled. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: cola, licorice, dried fruits and caramel (presumably some coming from oxidation); light carbonation; a touch watery and oxidized at the edges; as ryan noted, definitely different from most of the standard Unibroue outputs, but not in a good way. Medium finish: cola, dried fruits, and some lingering sugar.

Courtesy of kmweaver. Fairly clear dark brown body with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity nose with a bit of berry and roast. The flavor is moderately sweet with toffee, raisins, prunes, spice and pear. Medium body is round with light carbonation.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with a thin tan head that settles out quickly. Sweet aroma of fruits and light alcohol. Enjoyable fruit flavor with spices and a hint of earthiness. Alcohol not as present in the flavor. Medium body that is smooth and dry. (Rating from June ’07)

(Dégusté avec french tickler) Biere brune brumeuse avec un mince collet. Odeur un peu sucré, alcohol, pemplemousse, oranges, caramel et jus de raisins. Gout de style médicamenteux. Tres bonne biere!

Pours a dark reddish brown with a thick tan head that didnt last as long as most Unibroue products. Smells of dark fruit especially plum, spice, alcohol, and malt. The taste was plum and spice. Light bodied in the mouth with a slick feel. Overall a great beer.
