| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Poured out deep brown with a great tan head that left tons of lacing. Smells nothing like I had expected; Sour grapes and cherries, sourdough, raisin, sweet candy malt, and alcohol. Taste is sugar covered raisin, somewhat malty with acetic acid which then turns to sourdough, sour cherry, yeast, and candied fruits! Lightly hopped with small presence of alcohol on the tongue. Mouth feel is thin with a smooth carbonation that is just enough for the flavors to assault your taste buds...no more! Left my mouth nicely spiced. Strong beer, alcohol hidden very well.
Aged great, interested to see how this will be in another year. drfabulous (1269), Columbia, Missouri, USA

Pours a murky, rusty brown with a thin off-white head that was completely gone after a few sips. Pleasant aroma of caramel, apricots and prunes. The flavor was initially caramel and a bit of candi sugar, followed up with a stronger sour cherry flavor. Some very light bitterness and some light warmth from the alcohol at the finish. Very effervescent on the tongue. Light-medium bodied. fonefan (11866), VestJylland, Denmark
