Pours a dark mahogany color body with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet raisins, prunes, sour dough, and mild alcohol. Flavors are Raisins, camel, figs, black cherries, and a quick shot of alcohol before a strong cherry cola finish takes over.

750 ML Bottle-Trade w/ucusty-Dark brown w/slight off white head. Pleasant aroma of dark fruit. Flavors of dark fruit, raisins, candied sugar, caramel, and sourdough. Had a fair amount of carbonation. Lots of effervescence. Long, bittersweet finish. Quite good, thanks for this one!

Poured out deep brown with a great tan head that left tons of lacing. Smells nothing like I had expected; Sour grapes and cherries, sourdough, raisin, sweet candy malt, and alcohol. Taste is sugar covered raisin, somewhat malty with acetic acid which then turns to sourdough, sour cherry, yeast, and candied fruits! Lightly hopped with small presence of alcohol on the tongue. Mouth feel is thin with a smooth carbonation that is just enough for the flavors to assault your taste buds...no more! Left my mouth nicely spiced. Strong beer, alcohol hidden very well. Aged great, interested to see how this will be in another year.

Not exactly what I expect from a strong ale. Very strong cola taste, rather than the heavy malt I want. A good beer, but a bit of a weird surprise.

750 ml bottle. Pours a murky, rusty brown with a thin off-white head that was completely gone after a few sips. Pleasant aroma of caramel, apricots and prunes. The flavor was initially caramel and a bit of candi sugar, followed up with a stronger sour cherry flavor. Some very light bitterness and some light warmth from the alcohol at the finish. Very effervescent on the tongue. Light-medium bodied.

Bottle. [ Thanks to Enjoyit ] Clear light red / brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is fruit sour / acidic, juniper berry, mountain cranberry, cola. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively. (271007)
