cloudy, highly carbonated, off white head. lots of aroma, mostly of apple. tastes like a dry cider, but the flavor quickly vanishes

Wonderful! The aroma is full of mild spices, fruit (green apple) and some complimentary yeast notes. It’s appearance. Light cloudy dull golden color, with a wispy white head. A nice flavor. Beautifully light apple taste, perfectly melded into the nice yeasty and mild malt qualities. It’s like an ultra-mild farmhouse ale met a quality fruit beer. The drinkability of it is superb. This is a must try. So light and mellow, yet superbly charachter based.

Very disappointed with this beer given the excellence that exist as its brethren from Unibroue. In terms of fruit beers I’m used to the Belgian Lambics and that is the problem - it doesn’t stack up. The beer couldn’t decide if it was a light lager, or a light cider...in the end it just never made a decision

For a fruit beer its one of the better ones. I do not really taste the beer and can taste a tart granny smith apple flavour. So for what it is, I would drink it but for the money would prefer a blanche de chambly.

The first time I had this, I thought yikes, but I had a second recently, and starting to enjoy it more for what it is... just think of champagne with granny smith tartness and you got this one... I’ll find an occasion to have it with the appropriate food next time. Aromas of granny smith tartness, some yeast and esters, body is oily and flavors are tart, crisp and musty, finish is short, crisp and bubbly.

Bottled sample courtesy of Piscator. Nicely spiced. Good carbonation. Great beer for a Friday afternoon at the office.

Pours a nice amber colour, pretty cloudy, with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is sweet malts with a hint of apples. Flavour is very similar, plenty of sweet caramely malts, and a reasonable mix of sour apple cider sort of flavour. Could be a little stronger in my opinion, but still pretty tasty. Not much in the way of hops, but that’s probably fine for the beer. As it warms up a bit the apples come out a bit more. Not quite what I was expecting, but not bad at all. Carbonation is maybe a bit too high, but not terribly so, and it isn’t watery, but I wouldn’t call it creamy either.

Interesting brew. Medium sized head, cloudy gold apperance. The apples clearly come through in the aroma and the taste. Slight spice to the taste. However, the beer itself is pretty average and unnotable, which was a disappointment and brings it down overall.
