Aroma is huge on green apple with a light maltiness present. Taste is also very green apple dominant with more malt and some mild bitterness. Average mouthfeel with a long finish. The green apple mixing with the grain was quite odd and really did not work that well for me. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA

Pours a hazy golden amber brew with a thick off-white head that has some nice retention. Aroma of tart green apples, some coriander, light multi-grain malt and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is slightly tart, medium bodied with some carbonation and flavors of tart apples, yeast and multi-grain malt. Finish remains slightly tart with a light yeast and coriander aftertaste. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2008 pours a slightly cloudy amber-gold color with a medium thick head that lasts a bit. Aroma of apples and spice, and a touch of yeast. Tart apple flavor comes through more than anything. I don’t get much sweetness from this at all. A bit of spice and yeast on the finish. Enjoyable. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Appearance: Pours a hazy, straw-colored body with a full, though thinning, white head.
Smell: Aroma of apples, certainly, but there’s also notes of coriander, bubblegum, and that ole Unibroue yeast.
Taste: Sweetish, vaguely tart green apples and (though to a far lesser degree) peaches overlaying a delicate wheat taste. No real hop character. Small pinch of spices. Slight yeastiness near the end. Bit of apple-flavored bubblegum on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Fine, lively carbonation.
Drinkability: Fair enough for a glass full of apples. At least Granny Smith would be damned proud, God rest her soul... gonzo46and2 (108), Tampa, Florida, USA

Light green apple skin mixed with the familiar unibroue belgian-like yeast taste. Very light and refreshing. Smell is sugary and sweet like their La Fin Du Monde but there’s less abv and less bitter balance. Anorther whiff gives off some hard to detect extras. Kind of complex and utterly drinkable. puboflyons (614), New Hampshire, USA

Pours a cloudy bronze with a generous puffy, white head. . the aroma of apples overpowers any other scent that you might have noticed. Well, perhaps I catch a hint of malts. Medium mouth feel. Apples are definitely in the flavor but I also notice the coriander. Generally fruit beers do little for me but this one is more appealing. AR (436), Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2008 The Ephemere Apple was on the lower end of the Unibroue line of offerings. It had a medium mouthfeel, an interesing apple aroma, and a hazy appearance. So far so good. The taste, however, mas a mild, slightly aged, apple. I like me apples fresh. The apple could have been more tart and crisp.
