Jun 14, 2008 Cloudy golden with a disappearing head. The aroma is one third apple candy, one third sweet cider and one third Belgian blonde. Which could be a lot worse since I generally hate apple flavoured beers with a passion. Flavour is dry and with the yeast dominating the apple. There is some spice, but sadly also sweet, artificial apple candy in the finish.

Jun 13, 2008 Appears a light yellow orange, cloudy. Smells of fruits and spices. Palate has prickly carbonation, and a medium body. Flavor is sweet and smooth, of apple, yeast, and some spices. Nice gently tart finish. Overall, good but nothing too memorable.

Jun 11, 2008 On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Pint night, and as usual I forget to bring home the glass. Dag! Anyways, cloudy yellowish pour with some yeast in there that recalls a saison. Fairly understated nose, even if the apple is detectable. For some reason, seeing the green apple on the label, I’d expected this to be a sour. Instead, it’s a fine twist on a Belgian golden (moderately hopped) with some very mild apple notes mixed in. Flavor kind of washes out in a generic yeasty strain. Not Unibroue’s best, but I’m glad to have had it.

Jun 11, 2008 (Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Muddy, brownish orange colour with brief, white head. Fruity, slighty tart nose with fresh notes of green apples. Fruity, tart taste with apple juice, slightly artificial. I usually like the beers from Unibroué, but this wasn’t that impressive, a bit like carbonated apple juice with an edge.

Jun 10, 2008 Very nice beer. Cloudy light orang color with a puffy white head. Smells like yeast and apples...maybe even apple pie. Flavor is apples, sweet, light malts, and the mouthfeel is creamy and rich. Good on a hot day for sure.

Jun 9, 2008 Quite nice. Aroma is of sweet apples, but is fairly gentle, nothing overpowering. Flavor is light with a bit of sweet and tart finish. Was very happy with this one. Tastes very natural and not artificial or forced.

Jun 8, 2008 pours cloudy orange/yellow, this smells like one of those apple oatmeal bars. The flavor is not far from that oatmeal bar, strong apple taste, it’s very good though, tastes fresh and appetizing!

Jun 6, 2008 Pours cloudy yellow. Nice head. The aroma is of apple. The Flavor is almost a sour apple flavor initially, then it becomes malty, and then it finishes off sweet. Not bad at all.
