Dec 25, 2007 Updated: Apr 26, 200812 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange body - like a wit or hefe. The aroma is green apples. The taste is like cider. Bitter nose, but then smooth, and appley. Not as good as I thought it would be, but OK.

Dec 22, 2007 a very very good drink. I’m not sure I can call it a beer, but It was good. The ’chunks’ of yeast or apple or whatever were slightly unsettling for me. But I don’t like good beligums for the same reason. This was a not so sweet decent ’fruit beer’

Dec 19, 2007 Pours very bubbly. Sour aroma, not unlike apple cider vinegar. Taste is faint of apples, and leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Initially very weak, and does not improve. Could use more flavor, and perhaps more alcohol. Was this made with bad apples by mistake?

Dec 13, 2007 750ml bottle. Surprisingly delicious for a fruit flavored beer. Pours a cloudy golden blonde with a white quickly dissipating head. The aroma is of apples and wheat. The apple flavor is suprisingly subtle when tasted though. A delicious balance of sweet wheat notes that call to mind a hefeweizen with a hint of apple. A fine beer for dessert or with a snack.

Dec 13, 2007 I’m a fan of some of Unibroue’s beers, however most of the Unibroue selection is limited to where I live, Manitoba. Unibroue offered a Collection 2008 pack of its beers that included a few beers not available in this part of Canada. I’ve always wanted to try the Ephemere Pomme (Apple) beer, and I finally did. I was very much pleased with the taste and aroma of the beer. It has a hint of apple that was very inviting. It’s a beer that would be welcoming to almost any beer connoisseur, including ones who tend to drink lighter beers. It has a bit of a carbonated fizz which was a bit of a surprise. I recommend this beer if you can find it.

Dec 12, 2007 12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a hazy light golden color with a one finger thick white head. Aroma is apple, grapes, and faint yeast. Flavor is mostly apple. Palate is slightly bitter, a tad dry and just a little bit of sourness. Light to medium body. A good beer.
