Apples, apples, and more apples in the aroma- green to be specific. The flavor was obviously more green apples, and while tart, didn’t have as much of a punch as the nose. Some fruit beers overwhelm, but this was very pleasant and more reserved. It also was a lot more natural tasting than most other fruit beers. Medium body with crisp, soft mouthfeel. Not bad at all, and a small one of these is nice in the summertime. DrinkEmUpJones (22), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2009 On tap at Brew Garden in Clearwater. Aroma of green apple, definatley, but interestingly, I did not taste any tartness or acility in the flavor. I actually tasted more of an orange extract & vanilla--a nice fruitiness, but, again, no citrus or acidity. Nice mouthfeel, a little heavy. Very little head/lacework. A nice summer beer MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2009 First, top marks to Unibroue for the large bottles! This pours with a rich golden colour, somewhat cloudy and with a very active head. Aroma is quite fruity, giving away the green apple, but still most pleasant. Taste was delicious, spicy and more of the apple. Delicious. locust (10), Brampton, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Smells wonderful, very strong green apple fragrance but surprisingly only a hint in the taste. Beautiful golden cloudy color, opaque through the glass, with a slightly off-white head that disappears rather fast. Bubbly and refreshing, quite tasty as I find all Unibroue beers so far. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Bottle at the LCBO - hmmm, a green apple beer you say? Well, Everything was good at first; It looked fairly tasty and the aroma was awesome! Sour green apple smell that I love. However, the taste didn’t quite live up to the aroma. It tasted more along the line of an apple "core", it was fairly hearty in comparison to the aroma. It was still nice, but a bit of a let down. An Alright fruit beer. probstk (1064), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2009 750 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Cloudy, slightly dirty golden with a fair, loose white foam.
Aroma: Lots of sour apple Jolly Rancher, some yeast, wheat and very light funk.
Palate: Medium+ body, full, fairly soft effervescence.
Flav.: More yeast and wheat than the body, the apple is a bit more real and a bit less front and centre, it is also a touch spicy; on swallowing, the apple fades to give way to some light biscuity malts and a bit of mineral; off-dry with no bitterness to speak of.
Finally rated after several consumptions. Not bad for a fruit beer. Bejaaamin (115), London, Ontario, Canada

Very pale colour with a hint of green, not bitter, very crisp and light. Flavour is very fresh, mineraly, with only a slight apple taste. this beer would be best enjoyed come warm weather. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Shared this with Jay, A Clear dark straw color with a quick settling foamy white head. Smells like the essence of a sour apple (more wholesome than a Jolly Rancher but with a similar intensity). Sweet light with lots of carbonation as you role it around in your mouth.
