In bottle; amazing aroma of green apple. Taste was milder/lighter in body than I expected with notes of apple; quite dry, not hoppy at all. My wife does not drink beer at all but did enjoy this one

On tap back in April 2009. Cloudy yellow gold brew with a decent 1" white cap that fades to a ring. The aroma was pretty interesting just for its uniqueness. Similar to Pop Shoppe Pineapple pop, very fragrant. Lemon, orange rind, unnaturally fresh crab apple skin - sweet but perfect for me, real apple (nothing fake about it). A very complicated aroma, very fragrant. First sip gave a long dry finish before my brain could concentrate on the flavour. Candy with a bite. Nothing too amazing but it does have a fairly unique taste. SOme yeast, real apple, noticeable spice that is sort of peppery but mostly on the ’feel’, nears a sour quality. Light and bubbly, dryness continues from first sip to the last. Despite all that, this brew just didn’t do it for me. On tap was a lot better than in the bottle but didn’t warrant another pint.

Bottle pours a loght yellow straw-like color with a decent white head. Aroma is of green apple, cloves, and cinnamon. Green applel taste is subtle from what you would expect. Finish is tart and bitter with a hint of cloves. The finish is more of what you would expect from a belgian ale. Interesting mix of flavors and style.

Bottle at dinner with friends. Pours a hazy, straw color with a foamy white head that settles slowly. Faint lacing. Fragrant apple aroma, not overpowering. Crisp green apple flavor. Not bad, not overly sweet and fruity like I was expecting.

Bottle: Huge apple aroma as soon as the cap was popped. Pours a dull yellow color with a sizeable creamy white head. Smells rich with granny smiths, cinnamon, and cloves. Taste is not nearly the apple fruity spritzer that I had anticipated. More mature fruits, apple, earthy, and malty taste. Seems like some overripe apples too. Unsettling.

Tangy, tangy, tangy! Top 5 of the most aromatic beers I’ve ever had, but I suppose that’s half the point of this beer. A wonderful yeasty nose with bubble gum and sour apple. The aroma never died. Reminded me of fresh Cantillon lambic, although sweeter and not as dry. Flavor mirrored the nose, quite tangy with no artificial or forced flavors. Only issue I had was the long finish; long after I’d finished the beer it felt as if I’d had a sour apple candy, and candy-like was not at all my experience of this beer.
