| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2010 In bottle; aroma of cherry with subtle hoppiness. Poured a rose, blush color. Taste was notes of cherry with some black current, milded in body than I thought it would be. Overall, not bad at all. I enjoyed this more than the Green Apple version thepegjett (108), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Cloudy orange-pink body with a pale pink rocky head that settles to a thin but tenacious foamy layer. Yes, I want to pick up and drink this weird-looking thing. Intense sweet black current and candy-apple aroma stands out above all normal beer characteristics although I can make out the malts and tangy hops. Hmmmmm... Very interesting... It tastes more like a light dry bubbly rosé but beery with the presence of the beer-standard malts and hops. This is a good one to serve ice-cold on a summer afternoon at the poolside with such snacks as olives, artichokes, antipasto, fruit and herb-flavored goat cheeses, and flatbreads. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Big bottle, shared with the family at our pre-Christmas gathering. I’ve decided that I like the way Unibroue does fruit beers, much more so than the majority of other fruit beers I’ve had (it’s gotta be over 50 at this point, but I’m not sure). Anyway, this pours a bright red-orange with pink highlights and a huge pink-tinted , finely bubbled head. Aroma is of black current juice (Ribena anyone?) and musty yeast, but both of these are restrained until the head has collapsed and the beer has warmed a little. The palate is light and spritzy, but fully flavoured with cassis fruit and dusty yeast. Finish is quick and dry with a slightly medicinal quality. Juicy without being jammy or overly sweet, with a dry slightly tart finish. Fantastic. decimator (51), Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2009 341ml bottle poured into a tumbler. Poured a hazy opaque red with pink hues. It produced a big fluffy that quickly reduces to a 1/8" everlasting cap. Not much lacing. A nice aroma of sweet cherries and flowers. Surprisingly there’s not much sweetness in the taste. It’s mostlycherry & cranberry like tartness. My taste buds read this as bland beer mixed with fruit juice. It doesn’t taste artificial or overly sweet which is a good thing but the overall flavour profile could use more depth. I mostly just taste fruit. Average feel. It’s not bad overall but not something I would seek out again. dand645 (102), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA
