| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Lovely yeasty Belgian aromas with chunky biscuit and lemony freshness. Robust and tasty though it disguises its high ABV very well. Super relaxed and soft in the mouth with bready lightness and zingy citrus. The ABV comes up late in the throat with a light burn and delicious warming effect. Not hugely deep and a bit stale overall to be honest. beersearcher (220), Glendale, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Considering how alcohol-y most Unibroue beers are, this one is pretty smooth. Funky with some fruit notes. iamqueensblvd (191), , Iowa, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Nov 1, 2009 I used to love this beer. Ever since the buyout by Sapporo this beer’s quality has declined. Which is a real shame. The flavour has changed. Also the sediment in the bottle is different. Seems artifical compared to the home made appearance it had before. The cork does not have the pressure it used to when uncorking. I’ve been drinking this beer since around 97. I’m sad to say its not what it once was. Still better than alot of beer on the market but no longer great. Taverner (836), San Ramon, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Banana, clove and just a touch of vanilla in the aroma. Also a must note, which only shows in the initial smell. Pours a lovely champagne-like golden. Flavor is bursting with fruit notes - but not much burn. Much smoother than most Tripels. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2009 A gret big strong heady smell of wheat and yeast assaults your nostrils. Hazy and almost coppery with reddish-gold and enough particulates to block clarity. Big bold taste of malt and unibroue yeast with notes of fruit and just a bit of alcohal taste. A very intoxicating bouquet of aroma, flavour and palate, this is almost like a champagne of beers. fromred2green (144), , Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of spice, coriander. Flavor is slightly malty and fairly spicy. The warmth of alcohol can be felt when drinking. This beer is definitely unique and worth a try. UriahHeep (103), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Had this one awhile back in a bottle at Taco Mac. The best tripel I’ve had next to Golden Monkey. Nicely spiced and well hopped. Also has that X factor from all the extra fermentation and special yeast strains. Would have to rate at the time of drinking for a proper review.
