spanky167 (7), , Virginia, USA does not count Feb 28, 2009 This beer absolutely blew me away. I gave it the marks because I don’t recall drikning anything as satisfying as La Fin du Monde. Great carbonation with orange and spice flavours. It dances on your palate with the alcohol hidden very well. rcasta (470), El Salvador Feb 25, 2009 Desde seattle parte del six pack que compramos con sici. Con el gordo y greg. Pura belga sin tanto citrico ni putrefaccion. Buena con mas hops mejor tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Feb 25, 2009 75 cl bottle at Hopheads´ tasting 30.01.09 (Trygve). Golden orange color, fine white head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty, fruity. Flavor is the same, with sweet malt and a hint of sourness. Lovely. Djanvk (7), Freeport, Illinois, USA does not count Feb 21, 2009 It’s a pleasing nice hazy deep yellow color. There is a almost fruity aroma when you first smell it. After the pour it holds a nice creamy head for a good while. The taste is really good, I thought there would be a alcohol taste because of the high alcohol content but I never noticed this. I would definitely buy this again, and at only $6.99/4 pack, pretty good price IMHO. branspra (204), Arlington, Virginia, USA Feb 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy, orangish color with a frothy, large white head. Lacing is good. Aromas of bananas, wine, orange, and a bit of honey. Lively carbonation with a thick initial taste, then giving way to a slick and sticky finish. Flavors of orange, bananas, and some port. Very good beer and one that I will be enjoying again soon. Agaguk (118), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Feb 17, 2009 2005-11-5 750ml Bottle shared with Grand Genie. Hazy dark golden appearance and very nice cediments with anice white head. Aroma: alcohol, cinnamon, coriander, orange zest, pine. Flavor: peache, alcohol, pepper, coriander, orange, maple sugar. Palate: light body, soft carbonation and an oily citrus finish. jmulv (76), Rensselaer, New York, USA Feb 15, 2009 Pours a very light yellow color with a large white head. Tastes like a wheat beer with hints of fruit and the noticeable taste of alcohol. It’s very yeasty, but if that’s your thing, then I’m sure you’d enjoy it. scrizzz (1250), kirkland, Washington, USA Feb 15, 2009 hazy gold, strong active bright white head. notes of white fruit, though very faint. of course there’s soft and gentle belgian yeast but also fresh cut green pine as well. effervescent with notes of strawberry, hay, orange and honey. this beer has become a template for others to follow in my mind when comparing the style, though no one component of this particular beer stands out. the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts.
