The aroma had a citrus hops and yeast effect, with some banana and orange scents. A cloudy, straw colored beer with a small white head that clung to the edges but had little retention. The taste was sweet and candy-like with a milld sour effect too. A thinner, dry mouthfeel with low carbonation. Definitely a solid beer, a very good tripel, although not the best. jdunlow49 (2), , Virginia, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 19, 2008 very smooth but you can taste the high alcohol content. almost creamy with sweet wheat finish. crisp and not chalky at all. Odeur de sel, semblant de gomme baloune, un peu d’alcohol et sucre. Gout un peu sucré, oranges, un peu poivré. RigorMortis (24), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

This brew is a large part of that, although there are other trippels I slightly prefer (koenigshoeven comes to mind). Anyways, fin du monde is slightly sour (citrusy) and bitter, nicely carbonated. Very smooth drinking - despite the high alcohol content. FYI, I’m convinced it’s even better from the large bottles. TaxiDriver (931), Stadland, Germany
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Bottle. Quite yeasty smell, light sour and citrus. A cloudy light orange body and a small frothy white head, which is normal long lasting. The taste is heavy acidic and light bitter with a medium duration. Lively carbonation, a creamy texture and a medium body. A nice Belgian-styled beer. malrubius (977), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Peach orange marshmallow spice yeast aroma. Sweet vanilla orange flavor, very orange, sa if there is added orange. Lingering orange spicy finish. Medium-full body, fuller than expected, medium carbo. Excellent flavor. Decent texture. wcampbell (576), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Very good and highly drinkable. Lightly sweet, complex taste of spices and bananas. A light peppery finish that is slightly dry. Surprisingly light bodied for a stronger beer. Perfectly carbonated. No taste of alcohol anywhere. mullet2007 (205), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Pours a hazy orange colour with a thick white head that wears out pretty quick. Nose is very much yeasty and a little bit spicy, like bananas and cloves. Taste is fairly sweet with some very nice lemony notes, and a fair bit of the same banana kind of stuff present in the nose. Very smooth drinking, and plenty creamy. Carbonation is spot on. Not a bad beer by any stretch.
