thickfreakness (130), AUSTIN, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours an opaque, bubbly golden color with a white head that doesn’t fade. The aroma is lightly fruity, yeasty, lightly spicy and a bit musty. Taste is similar with a nice refreshing lemony flavor. Quite lively carbonation. Overall a nice refreshing summer beer with hardly any hint of the ABV. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle: Pours a dusty and cloudy blonde with a large, frothy white head. Aroma is light and fruity. Some bits of florals and spice. Flavor presents a little bit of yeast and typical spices. Light fruitiness and hints of apple. Not real intense, other than the heavy carbonation. Just wasn’t feeling this one. bruno1378 (120), Epping, New Hampshire, USA Jul 19, 2008 This is an old bottle - best before date on bottle says 2002 and it’s 2008. Giving it a shot anyway. Pours a cloudy gold. Lemon hint in the aroma, along with some apple. Drinking out of the style glass they recommend which I’m sure helps the aroma. Sweet flavor, very drinkable. A bit fizzy and somewhat refreshing, a nice summer beer. Better than I thought it was going to be. chops (60), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jul 19, 2008 Lots of strong flavors. This is the first triple fermented beer (i think) and I enjoyed it.I have drank a tMore importantly its 9% Gypsy19 (602), California, USA Jul 18, 2008 I was a little disappointed with this one, I must say. It’s a good ale overall, but leaves a lot to be desired. It feels like they rushed this one, not giving it time or attention to full development. Sweet apricot and tangerine flavors are present, with a little lemon peel for fun. Doesn’t compare to Three Pistols or Maudite, in my opinion. I would pass on this one for the money. checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle: Wow, what a beer. This beer poured a hazy dark yellow with a small amount of white head. The aroma is of apples, citrus, yeast and mustyness. The flavor is refreshing, hints of apples, bananas, cloves, and bread. Overall, one of the best beers I’ve had. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle pours a hazy yellow with a typical huge foamy white head and lots of blocky lacing. Musty aroma and o sweet vegetative notes. Light cereal flavors with the yeasty dusty Belgian slant. Livel carbonation and a light body.
Thabks to Jake or sharing this one that somehow escaped me this long.
TurtlePiano (6), phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Jul 15, 2008 I would like to say that this is my favorite beer right now. It is so refreshing in the summertime. It is a nice cloudy gold on the eye and a beautiful fruity smell with strong scents of banana and hints of clove and apple. It tastes much like the smell with a mild finish that gives it a refreshing summer feel that leaves you wanting more. love this beer
