TurtlePiano (6), phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Jul 15, 2008 I would like to say that this is my favorite beer right now. It is so refreshing in the summertime. It is a nice cloudy gold on the eye and a beautiful fruity smell with strong scents of banana and hints of clove and apple. It tastes much like the smell with a mild finish that gives it a refreshing summer feel that leaves you wanting more. love this beer dunkpigen (328), Kolding, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Bottle at Århus Ølfestival 2008. Pours a clear yellow with a small head. Aroma is vinious and fruity. Flavour is sweat and vinious with fruits and yeast - very nice palate. Maltybones (60), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 12, 2008 I can’t believe I waited so long to try this. Appearance is a cloudy dark yellow woth a quickly receeding white head. Aroma is dominated by fruity esters, particularily pear, with notes of corriander and bubblegum. Taste us much the same, with pears and apricots being most dominant, with light spices, yeat and a noticable alcohol flavour following. Mouthfeel is wieghty, full and even a little creamy. A great beer. beer4me (8), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada does not count Jul 9, 2008 Very nice! A beautiful and well made beer. A nice spicy and yeasty aroma. The flavours pack quite a punch. Wonderful yeasty, corriander and fruity levels of taste backed by the alcohol taste at the end. There are so many levels of taste on the tongue and scents for the nose that it really is a feast for the senses. I do have a weakness for Unibroue beers though. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Jul 8, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow, thin white head--not much lacing on it. The flavor is sweet with lots of yeast. Banana, clove, and yeast in a rich, long-lasting finish. Flavors are a bit muddy on this one to me--good tripel, but not great. djones (116), Michigan, USA Jul 8, 2008 Pours clouded medium gold. Decent head at first but it fades quickly. Flavor initially sweet on the tongue, then a burst of citrus. Flavors of lemon, apricot, yeast, and bold cloves. There is also a unique tartness underlying the sweet flavor, which is a pleasant surprise. Offers a nice crisp medium to heavy body and a creamy finish with lingering citrus, spice, and a touch of alcohol. Very excellent beer. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle into Chalice. Pours a cloudy gold with a 1 finger, pillowy white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is spicy yeast and ripe apricots and peaches. Flavor starts out with a light candy sweetness, then hits big with overripe golden fruits (apricot, peach, pear) and a notable spiciness from both the yeast and (less so) from the alcohol. Finish is ripe fruits, yeast spice, alcohol, slightly astringent. Carbonation is quite crisp at the beginning, providing an interesting dryness, but the beer still pulls off a creamy finish. Interesting flavor development in this beer - starts off light before exploding, matching the mouthfeel in development. An interesting take, excellent beer. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 7, 2008 Nice spicy tripel. Served from the bottle. Pours light tan with a creamy head. Flavors with a mix of fruit and yeast.
