Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 28, 2008 Sampled during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening tasting via Unibroue representative. Pours a hazy golden pale brew with a thick white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of sweet golden malt, yeast, some cloves, mild spice and a touch of pineapple. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of semi-tart fruit, golden grain malt, yeast and a touch of banana. Finish is semi-sweet with a tart fruit and yeast aftertaste. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA Jun 26, 2008 Very pale yellow pour with a two finger white foamy head. Clove/spice on the nose as well as banana. Crushed bacon on the taste along with yeastiness and alcohol. Dry finish. rbrazell (57), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pours pale gold with big white head. Fruit and yeast. Flavor is fruity with nice mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol.
I really enjoy this beer. I’m sure it isn’t the best example of a tripel but it tastes very good. Jschecter (13), USA Jun 22, 2008 An outstanding brew. Well hopped, bold taste, clean finishing. The alcohol content makes me happy. spagyetti (68), Puyallup, Washington, USA Jun 20, 2008 Bottle, cork’d and caged. Highly overrated! I can think of a million better ways to "end the world", than with a headache. Completely out of there league interpretation of a triple! Not even worth the price of admittence. topher40409 (36), gainesville, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 bottle; poured hazy straw with two finger white head. yeasty fruity tropical coolada of esters. slight malt up front fades to many tropical fruit esters. banana pineapple with some yeasty peach. lingering tartness with slight presence of hops. kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a honey yellow with a white, one-finger head that dissipates quickly but still laces the glass as the beer recedes. Aroma is grass, straw, and citrus with hints of complex spice. Flavor is slightly sweet with a slight spiciness as well. Notes of citrus (mainly orange) and clove as present as well. Somewhat lingering enjoyable finish. One of our favorite tripels and a perennial drinker. . . .
