Imperial-John (154), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Apr 9, 2008 750ml LCBO. Bubbly cloudy gold with foamy head that disappears quicky. Surprised that the cork didn’t seem to have any pop to it because in the small bottle, it would foam so much, you couldn’t keep it in the glass. Strong Unibroue yeasty aroma. Sweet warm bubbly yeasty taste that hides the alcohol well. Yeasty aroma and taste are too over the top for me. Turco (11), Alma, Quebec, Canada Apr 8, 2008 An orange and hazy beer with a lot of sediments in it. Pours an off-white head. Very spicy with strong notes of yeast, orange and citrus. The alcohol is almost non-existent. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Apr 8, 2008 Yeast yeast and yeast. But that is to be expected from the style. Very sweet tripel that has tons of corriander, enough to knock a building over with. It tastes a bit one dimensional to me, and with a macro tinge to it. Overall a good beer that I am glad I got to try, but not really my thing in general. I rated with a curve since I know abbey tripel’s aren’t my style of choice. garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 6, 2008 Bottle - LCBO: Hazy golden orange, small white head. Citrus & wheat aroma, reminds me of la mild Hefeweizen. Flavour: A citrus and spice mix, really enjoyable, the alcohol is well hidden (I didn’t notice the ABV till I went to put the rating in) it has a long lemon finish. Nice indeed RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Apr 4, 2008 Pours orange-gold with a frothy head. Aroma of straw, banana, yeast, citrus, and spice. Taste is the same. Relatively low carbination. Finish is clean and slightly bitter. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. An excellent triple. IPAGargoyleGuy (139), Troy, NY, New York, USA Apr 3, 2008 Grassy and citrus flavor, with the yeast spice one expects from a good tripel. Light and refreshing, especially for 9%. cjowo (4), USA does not count Apr 2, 2008 pours cloudy golden with decent head retention. very nice light citrus aroma, there is almost a slight grassy aroma. great spicy yeast profile. light mouthfeel. definitely doesn’t look as strong as it is. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 31, 2008 bottle poured into a Duvel glass. pours a cloudy golden color with a good sized white head resting on top. smells of lemon peel, clove, and coriander, much like a Belgian Wit. taste is also much like a Wit though a bit dryer. good but nothing truly exceptional.
