Pours a somewhat cloudy, thick, blonde color. Nice sized head that does fizzle down quite a bit. That was disappointing. Strong aroma consisting of citrus bananas, cloves, vanilla and an overall strong alcohol presence. There’s a lot there. The mouthfeel is pretty full although something seems a bit off with a tangy, somewhat sour, very yeasty, citrus (oranges and bananas) flavor. There is an alcohol rush in there so you know it’s 9%. I’ve had other Tripels recently that are better, Karmeliet and Chimay Cinq Cents come to mind, but this is pretty good.

Nice cloudy yellow-orange with a generous white head that settles down to a 1 cm thick layer. Scent is spicy, fruity and crisp. Not over carbonated. Not much bitterness in the taste, very clean finish. Subtle spicy, citrusy flavours. The 9% ABV is not noticeable, making for an easy drink. Refreshing and nice.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a big white head that quickly dissapears into nothing. Aroma isn’t anything special, lightly sweet fruit notes and some spicey notes. The flavour is pretty decent, the yeast is pretty straight forward, with some fruity and spicey notes, it strangely enough goes quit good with black jelly beans.

Very intersting beer. 4pk from Crown. 12oz bottle poured into a trappist glass. Nice hazy gold color with a huge fizzy white head. Nose is very much like a good belgian white. Lots of coriander and spice and of course yeast. I detect some clove and cinnamon in there as well, quite complex for the style. Taste is apple, coriander and clove and tons of spicy yeast. This has alot going on and the carbonation is high which all but makes the high ABV completely disappear. This is quite exceptional. A pleasant suprise and worth the money. Its worth noting that this bears no resemblance to any triples I have had. I dunno if its labeled wrong or if this is just their unusual take on the style but despite being rather light it has none of the hoppiness I have seen in other trippels I’ve had.

750ml LCBO. Bubbly cloudy gold with foamy head that disappears quicky. Surprised that the cork didn’t seem to have any pop to it because in the small bottle, it would foam so much, you couldn’t keep it in the glass. Strong Unibroue yeasty aroma. Sweet warm bubbly yeasty taste that hides the alcohol well. Yeasty aroma and taste are too over the top for me.

An orange and hazy beer with a lot of sediments in it. Pours an off-white head. Very spicy with strong notes of yeast, orange and citrus. The alcohol is almost non-existent.

Yeast yeast and yeast. But that is to be expected from the style. Very sweet tripel that has tons of corriander, enough to knock a building over with. It tastes a bit one dimensional to me, and with a macro tinge to it. Overall a good beer that I am glad I got to try, but not really my thing in general. I rated with a curve since I know abbey tripel’s aren’t my style of choice.

Bottle - LCBO: Hazy golden orange, small white head. Citrus & wheat aroma, reminds me of la mild Hefeweizen. Flavour: A citrus and spice mix, really enjoyable, the alcohol is well hidden (I didn’t notice the ABV till I went to put the rating in) it has a long lemon finish. Nice indeed
