Sep 22, 2009 750 mL bottle from Von’s (good price at $5.99). Pours a light prune-amber color with a finger and a half of white head. Aroma of bready malts, musty yeast, pepper, and light citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet with yeast, dusty malts, spices, and fruit (citrus, peach). Light mouthfeel and dry finish with a hint of hoppy bitterness and light alcohol burn.

Sep 17, 2009 Pours cloudy golden, with a lasting two-finger beige head, good lacing. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, clove, banana and tobacco. Medium body, tart, velvety and smooth. Citrus and banana flavor, rich biscuit malt, clove and cardamom, and a note of straw. Tart finish balances out the sweetness.

Sep 17, 2009 Bottle - Pours a hazy light yellow with a large white head. Spicy, Banana and yeasty aromas. Sweet fruity flavour with a metalic hint. Light bitter finish and a lingering flowery hop aftertaste. Nice transition of the flavours from the first sip through to the finish.

Sep 14, 2009 Taste was good, but was overwhelmed by bad aroma and piss-poor almost burning aftertaste. Seems to be consistent with other Unibroue beers I’ve had.

Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellowish gold. Frothy white head, with great carbonation. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and a hint of spice. Body is firm, with a crisp finish. Fantastic tripel.

Sep 12, 2009 750ml bottle. Amber gold in colour with a frothy white foam cap that nestles on top. Citrus fruit and yeast aromas blend well together. Smooth and lively in the mouth, leaves a warm glow in the mouth . The longer it sits the better it gets.

Sep 10, 2009 This was one of the first brews I ever tried, and now I’m just getting around to rating it. Pours a light orangeish yellow, with a large white head. The aroma has lots of yeast and light fruits, and some spiciness. Flavor has a lot of that yeast flavor as well, with a drier, spicier flavor up front - cardamom and coriander, moving into some sweeter fruits (peach, especially) on the finish. Nice, and better when you swirl a bit of the overly aggressive carbonation out, but feels a bit too heavy for what it seems like it’s going for.
