trevor211 (500), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 10, 2009 This was one of the first brews I ever tried, and now I’m just getting around to rating it. Pours a light orangeish yellow, with a large white head. The aroma has lots of yeast and light fruits, and some spiciness. Flavor has a lot of that yeast flavor as well, with a drier, spicier flavor up front - cardamom and coriander, moving into some sweeter fruits (peach, especially) on the finish. Nice, and better when you swirl a bit of the overly aggressive carbonation out, but feels a bit too heavy for what it seems like it’s going for. strowlands8 (75), Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2009 The flavour is yeasty and spicy with a big bold taste. A little bit of alcohol as well. Very carbonated, but all round pretty good. bw1982 (69), , Arizona, USA Sep 8, 2009 Bottle. Strong fruity aromas, pours a very dark brown color. The light tan head is thick and holds quite well. There are flavors of spices, and a lot of yeasty malts. It’s a very good beer, the palate is a bit on the thin side for a beer this strong, but the alcohol is well hidden underneath the very smooth flavors. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Sep 3, 2009 Bottle, Flandres, Burgos. Cloudy amber colour, off-white head. Nose of fruits, spicy and yeast. Flavour is fruity, yeasty and malty. Sour and slightly bitter finish. Very nice. BilltheButcher (4), Arlington, Texas, USA does not count Sep 3, 2009 750ml bottle. strong aroma of peaches when the bottle is first open, poured into a glass it gives off a very strong coriander smell. good cloudy color with a quickly collapsing head and much carbonation. coriander is still overpowering in the taste, but not as much as the aroma. has a bit of a bitter/sour towards the end and similar aftertaste, with the alcohol slightly burning the gums and the back of the throat as it slides down. a great beer, but too much coriander for my tastes. trayns (237), Beverly Hills, Michigan, USA Sep 2, 2009 Aroma is fruity, yeasty and lots of banana. Taste is refreshing, light, fruity sweet, and little malt body. There is a good complexity and palate to the drink. Overall, a very enjoyable and evolving brew. thorongil2 (54), , Ontario, Canada Aug 30, 2009 (bottle) golden amber colour; lively carbonation; medium head; nose - citrus and malt; flavour - fruit, malt, spices; somewhat bitter, dry and a bit metallic finish. JK54B (913), Helsinki, Finland Aug 30, 2009 A bottle tasted at Silja Line. Mild slightly sour nose with some fruitiness. Slightly hazy golden yellow colour. Soft round fruity and slightly sweet taste. Mild hoppiness. Thin pale head. Sweet and spicey taste. Like belgian style.
