twoskylights (9), Boise, Idaho, USA does not count Feb 22, 2008 After the satisfying pop of the cork, Fin du Monde pours with an abundant, beautiful and snowy head. Then is revealed a luxurious and cloudy, pale, old gold color. The nose reveals citrus, flaky wheat, mineral crispness, honey and booze. Fin tastes like a honey pot (without being too sweet), and is an obvious cousin to Belgian big brothers. The minerals continue upon sipping, revealing a solid, fairly approachable experience. There is even something woody, forest like in the drink. It is soft in the mouth and leaves without a hint of bitterness, a clean and satisfying finish all around. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for good beer labels, and this one got me. I want to be at the Fin du Monde with this beer! Delish!
