Reminded me of the Grand Cru style of Belgians. This one had thick head with many sweet citrus flavors and a Hefe color. This brew was very rich and malty, and the alcohol was disguised well behind the breadth of flavor and light carbination.

Poured a hazy yellow color with a large white head. Sweet citrus flavor dominated the beer. Only a hint of the high alcohol content could be detected. All in all a very good beer.

Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel" tasting. Clear pale color with dense white head. Spicy orange aroma with alc, nice. Orange flavor upfront with coriander, slight yeast spice, subdued alc. Medium body. With the subdued alc it seems to be more balanced and thus pleasant.

Bottle from Londis, Goring and had this last night 30-01-08 Pours murky golden and with tiny yeast floaters flying around, this stuff literally explodes from the bottle, aroma is very sweet and so is the taste like sucking on a stick of toffee initially but it gets better, alcohol is ever present but spiciness starts to show. Unfortunately the sweetness becomes a bit of an issue for me otherwise this has a lot in it’s favour.

Bottle. Aroma of fruit and orange zest. Orange in appearance with a frothy white head. Yeasty beer with a strong fruit feel, a little spicy too. Sweet honey finish. Not my favourite style but not bad.

Light gold-orange colour. Fluffy white head disappears fairly quick. Aroma was a little yeasty/bready at first with strong flower/perfume aroma. Taste was fruity, a little spice with quite a sweet, alcohol warming feel to it. It was quite viscous, kind of like a fortified wine. A great beer.

Hazy orange with a white head that disappears. Mostly sweet fruit in the nose, reminds me of what is currently marketed as strawberry/banana. Flavor is similarly sweet with the addition of some bitter fruit, white fruit, and the slightest notion of citrus. Palate is very interesting with some serious viscosity for the style and soft carbonation. Finish somehow tends to dry and shows clove flavors well.
