The cloudier the glass the better the taste. Need to mix up the citrus flavours to really enjoy. Malt is not that strong. Liquid Gold? OK! rauchbier (3004), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

Excellent heavy malt in the nose with hints of fruity jam and some background hop traces. Sweet thick malt in the mouth with a suggestion of Horlicks and a touch of good oxidation. Finish is oily with malt dominant and spicy around the edges.

cloudy yellow, thick white head.
acid/sour/citrussy/floral aroma resembling a very good witbier. also a little spices. aroma is very enticing, very refreshing and makes you think that no matter what, a 9%er cannot live up to this kind of freshness..
but it can.
flavor is strong, citrussy, spicy, "belgian blonde" like, yellow fruits, faint banana, lemon, lime, a little bitterness. this style doesn’t get much better. shrubber85 (3000), Wallhalben, Germany

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Medium white head. Hazy yellow body. Sharpish fruity spicy aroma with notes of pepper, grains of paradise, and soft metal. Sharpish fruity chalky taste with spicy notes and a touch of banana. Malty, candy notes. Nice, even if it’s a little sharp and dense. (0.341l bottle from some convenience store in Montreal.)
