This beer has the usual massive fruity estery unibroue nose. Very sharp and crisp spice nose with hints of apple, coriander, and a peppery dryness to it. Sweet up front on the palate, lots of fruitiness, apple, citrus, and some pineapple. Fades to a powerful spicy finish that is so alive with carbonation and spice it reminds me of poprocks candy. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2002 Slightly less alcohol taste is apparent in this fine beer than in the Unibroue 10. Rather winey. Good. Floaties in the beer. I liked it. after4ever (2806), Brier, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2006 750. Pours a deep tannish orange cloud, kind of butterscotch colored, actually. Towering bubbly white head that fades to mousse but never really leaves. God, it’s gorgeous. Swirling, surging, rising carb. Big green apple tart nose. Some fun wild funk on the attack, more on the finish. Not overly funky by any means, though. Plenty of spice throughout the palate, even a tinge of pepper at the edges. Clean herbal hop finish, no linger. Great stuff, and one of the first worldly brews a friend ever gave me--10 years ago now. She’s lost her husband this year, and it’s sad to drink this beer and think about when he was still around, now that he’s gone. Great beer given in good spirits is always a happy memory, though. Nice job by Unibroue. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

Apparence: Couleur blonde pâle voilée. Carbonisation faible. Très petit col. Saveur: Goût d’agrume et de caramel. Légère touche d’alcool. Palette: Faible acidité sur la langue et le palais. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 19, 2001 Cloudy, ’bitterish’ malt, yeasty & dry. Not necessarily bad qualities, but not my favorite when combined in such a way. Overall, I thought the beer was ok, except for a slight astringent off-flavor. I’ll try another one at a later date. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 2, 2006 Updated: Oct 1, 2008I’ve recently had this again, and having had more triples under my belt since my first experience with this beer, I have come to appreciate just how truly excellent this is! World-class, beyond a doubt! Murky orange, huge white head. Spicy aroma, yeasty, faintly fruity and peppery too. Lots to tease out here. Big palate that is yeasty, sweet fruit (citrus and something else) and peppery too. Noticable alcohol, but not harsh. A good approachable triple. riversideAK (2767), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 12, 2007 A hazy yellow orange color. Aroma is fruity apricots, oranges, tangerines, and peach, as well as yeast and spice. Flavor is those fruits, some clove, some spice, some alcohol, some mildewy flavors. Drinkable, fruity, and v ery carbonated. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Hazy golden color with thin white head. Aroma seems citrusy, banana and yeast. Taste is aided by high carbonation. I first taste bitter hops, some sourness, spice then candy sugar sweetness. Fruity flavors (banana mostly) linger. The flavors mix well resulting in an enjoyable experience.
