Like a lot of strong Belgian blondes and tripels, the alcohol sometimes emerges a little too much (though some people on this site are obviously hyper-sensitive to alcohol as the ratings of Trois Pistoles would indicate). Dark beige, pure white foam, aroma of fresh bell peppers, yeast, orange zest, dark german bread...aside from the alcohol the palate has a fair bit of malt, a somewhat thick finish, white pepper, almond skins, yeast (and lots of it), finishing dry with alcohol.

Blond color, with a turbolent perlage; frothy big head. It’s a quite simple Triple, with a light canned sardines aroma, a rather sweet body, some spices (cloves...), low bitterness and some alcohol warmth. The final is mellow and spicy. Drinkable.

Appearance and flavours similar to a Belgian wheat beer. Cloudy, perfumy, fruity, sweet and spicy. Difficult to believe it’s so strong.

(750ml Bottle, best by 9/20/04) Cloudy golden with medium off-white head. Aroma is orange sweet, some pepper, . Taste is medium sweet, orange, Unibroue yeasty, pepper, bready, coriander, light alcohol, finish is pleasant alcohol warming. Medium-full body that holds the alcohol well. A lovely beer.

33cl bottle, Auchan, Calais. Cloudy dark gold with lasting white head. Citrus, blanche aroma, in fact very typically blanche like. Lees give it some backbone and character. Wheat beer style finish again with some lemon that lasts. Better than most blanches due to the lees

Orange color, small off-white head. Fruity yeasty aroma - there is at least mango, banana and orange, quite typical American-Belgium style nose. Very crisp carbonated mouthfeel. Orange zesty, fruity, only a bit yeasty flavor. Sweetish tripel which hides its ABV very well. Light alcohol in the aftertaste, almost watery too as fruityness fades away, but good one anyway.

Orange golden with a weak head and nice lace. The aroma has notes of yeast and coriander and the mouthfeel is full. The flavour is very sweet and you aren’t in doubt - it’s a strong beer. It has notes of ripe fruit, and it’s fairly bitter and slightly acidic in the long finish.
