Big yeasty nose with some clove and pepper. Hefe-like banana first sip quickly fades to strong, spicy and fruity flavors. Light and flavorful. Finish has a strong alcohol burn.

Dense pale, almost whiteish, amber appearance, moderate head formation. Fresh baked bread, yeasty aroma with orange juice, pepper and rosemary. Palate is malty, peppery, orangey with some hop bitterness in the finish but all in all not extremely assertive.

Re-rate. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thick profuse creamy white head. The aroma is yeasty, dry, spicy, sweet, slight Belgian nose. The flavor is also yeast and dry, some spice, tart apple, mild Belgian flavor. The palate was extremely lively and warming from the alc. The finish was warm alcohol/

This blonde ale poured with a lacy off-white head. There is a full complex flavor that starts off sweet, with a more bitter hoppy finish.

Bottle, pours a hazy amber with a large foamy off-white head. An orange citrus hop aroma with some sweet yeast. A fizzy mouthfeel with a tartish finish. The subtle flavours bring citrus and yeast. OK, but I don’t pick it as high as some - maybe I need to give it a go in a better environment.

Pours a yeasty, cloudy, straw gold, with a thick, foamy, pearly white head. Smells of sweet Belgian candy sugar, alot of orange citrus, with a mild spice character as well. Lovely aroma. The flavor is pretty heavy on the carbonation, with that easily identifiable Unibroue yeast flavor. The flavor wasnt as sweet as some of their offerings, more citrus with light candy sugar. Mild spiciness to it, some coriander I would say. Great drinking tripel, another rock solid offering from a pretty solid brewery.

12oz bottle, <!-- i -->best before 01-31-09<!-- /i -->. Opened this POS up and foam got on my keyboard, my clothes, and on my desk. I am pissed off. The beer hasn’t been hardly moved for over a month and a half. It will lose three points on the "overall" for that stupidity--nothing needs to be that carbonated. If there were any volatiles I missed them due to me trying to clean up my keyboard. Pours a cloudy golden with a huge piece of crap white head, quickly fading. Aroma of Belgian yeasts, bananas, nondescript sweet fruits, pepper, and alcohol. Taste is much of the same. There is some hotness from the alcohol, which fits with the 9% ABV. Slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, very light carbonation (since all was lost from the mountain of foam). Would have been a pretty good beer except for the fact that I lost four ounces of it from the carbonation.
