12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a honey yellow with a white, one-finger head that dissipates quickly but still laces the glass as the beer recedes. Aroma is grass, straw, and citrus with hints of complex spice. Flavor is slightly sweet with a slight spiciness as well. Notes of citrus (mainly orange) and clove as present as well. Somewhat lingering enjoyable finish. One of our favorite tripels and a perennial drinker. . . .

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold, with a small, but lasting head. The taste is mostly yeast, a slight apple taste, spices, and a bit of alcohol. Very fizzy and alive. Good drink.

1000th rater Cork and wire with 2005 on the wire. Best before 12-15-08, my guess this bottle is pretty much a year old. Was not able to retrieve my La Fin Du Monde glass so I used my slightly thinner Corsendonk tulip glass. Pours with a small head that turns into a strong lacing. Body is a beautiful thick murky golden. Amazing almost no clarity for a golden beer. Aroma for me is world class. Strong honey and almost tea like sweetness beautifuly melded with candi sugar. Some effervescent lemony, citrusy sweetness as well. Very original yet true to the belgian feel. Some earthy undertones. Taste is similarly sweet with a strong belgian feel. A very good translation from aroma to flavor with a little bit more of the citrus/tropical fruit aspect. Just a small hint of bitterness in the end. Present carbonation on the cheeks but not overwhelming. Medium heavy body. I feel this beer has been underappreciated b/c of its availabilty. I wont refer to this as a true tripel but definitely a great belgian-style beer (something that guy at the 2005 GABF might even enjoy).

when choosing a non-belgian tripel, this and the alllagash triple are always my two finalists. sometimes i just have to get both! goes down very easily, be careful, if you drink a 4 pack you’re zonkers! a very tasty lead up to said zonkers.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy honey color with one finger creamy head. Nose is cloves, yeast and fruit bubblegum. Taste is tangy citrus, spicy Belgian yeast and a souring finish that fades into sweet fruits again. Medium mouth feel. An easier drinker but quite warming at 9%.

(on bottle)"The end of the world"? Well, looking for the best in every style, one might have reached the pinnicale of trpels. This is a great beer. Sent and taste is, so-so, about the same parameters, but as long as it has this level, it fine with me. So what does it smell and taste like? We had to try a few bottles, before all the impressions could be writen.Aroma of peach and abricot and behind that, some vanilla.Has a very smooth, creamy, velvety mouth feel. Wonderfull. The closest I can get in taste impression is to compare it with a spiced carrot cake, with that cheese/vanilla icing...

Poured with a huge head. Citrus dominates from the first sip. Carbonated quite a bit, but that’s ok. Alcohol, is present, but not overbearing. Quite refreshing to me, seems almost like a wit beer on acid! Thanks to ebin603 and punkpie for this one!
