Aroma is sort of odd, skunky-ish, some spices (clove maybe?). Flavor of a slight yogurt sourness, mint julep, melon, and yeast. A little heavy to drink. Decent tripel though!

Citrus aroma. Flavor of bannana, clove, and other fruity notes & alcohole spice. Medium mouth feel with medium carbonation.....I really don’t see what all the hype is...is good. ......but nothing special...... JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 23, 2005 Updated: Oct 29, 2006The other reviewers have gotten to the core here - "simple but complex". Pours from a 12 oz. bottle with an orange color and very thick, white head. The smell is pungent and takes a while to separate. Hmmm, okay, here’s some intense Belgian-yeasty stuff - oh wait, there’s some spices, too. While the smell is complex, the taste is relatively straightforward - sweet, then spicy than mo’ sweet. A very, very good brew (but not something you’re going to drink four of in one night, though). This is the best thing the local major supermarket chain gets, and thus the most acccesible quality brew, so I’ve had time to do the math. Recognize. 17thfloor (1511), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sweet candied malt and dusty yeast aroma. Chewy sparkly lively palate. Some sweet cereal flavor, candied malt, yeast, light summer fruit.... touch of pepper, an excellent triple.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 15, 2004 Hazy pale yellow beer topped with rich, dense and long-lasting brew. Complex and robust nose dominated by spices and a touch of citrus. The alcohol remains better hidden as in most of the Tripels. A tremendous succession of sweetness and spice followed by a quite alcoholized finish that reminds you that this is not ordinary beer. La Fin du Monde definitely stands among those which are to beer what champaign is to wine. Cavie (1509), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2007 750 ml bottle. Hazy golden orange with some visible carbonation in the center if you looked hard enough and a huge white head. I was a little suprised that there was barely any lacing left on my glass. Aroma changed significantly throughout this beer it started with classic belgian style, spicy yeast, and as it warmed fruity, banana and lemon, and towards the end sweetness, candy and bubblegum. Flavor was smooth and drinkable with notes of yeast, lemon and banana. Great beer on a beautiful day, life is good. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA
