Another beautiful beer from Unibroue this one has a calming grassy, yeasty smell, that has hints of orange. Heavenly mouth feel, light on the tongue and spicy through the finish. I generally like the belgian double style better than the blone/triple style, but this is one of my favourites of the later. brewblackhole (1383), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Pear ,banana ,and some spices in the aroma(but definetely no corriander, I don’t know where everyone else was getting that) huge head ,cloudy body, heavy banana pear malt taste, lots of sweetness so there must be plenty of unfermentable sugar in here, wonderful smooth aftertaste, its everything I love about Belgian beer Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2007 I’ve had a few Unibroues in the last few days and already I can identify this as distinctly "Unibroue." This isn’t to say anything about the assassin-like precision of my palate but more to say that Unibroues seem to be so one-dimensional in their own particular way. Always with the noticeable alcohol, metallic coating and a generally synthetic quality to its flavors. This tripel is greyish gold in color with a very nice creamy white head. Orange, dry spiciness, alcohol, and some sour character...very typical. SuzyGreenberg (1379), Seattle, Washington, USA

Yeasty aroma reminds me of a bakery with some citrus and just a hint of apples and spice. Rich sweet flavor with an alcohol finish. Citrus and spice in there as well. Very good stuff. Nose is citrus and spice, with a hint of yeast. Flavor is just as the nose with some sweetness, with a very refreshing quality. The finish is a tad bitter, and the alcohol is hidden very well. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2002 I drank this without having any idea whatsoever of what I was getting into. So I see the 9% ABV, and I’m thinking, is this a barleywine? It’s quite light and clear, perhaps the palest color I’ve ever seen from that strength of beer. It tasted quite wheaty, almost reminding me of a hefeweizen. Kind of strange but very nice. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
