The choices were Budweiser, Yuengling Porter or La Fin Du Monde at my brother’s house. Obviously I went with the Unibroue. This is a cloudy golden bodied strong Belgian Ale with a light head and a yeasty aroma. Initial taste is smooth finished with a zesty bite. Very enjoyable strong ale.

Everybody likes this stuff, and for good reason. Sometimes the ignorant masses are right. I’d go to the end of the world, or as the French - I mean Freedom - say, to "la fin du monde," to get this stuff. A solid tripel, cloudy golden appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast, banana/clove, and other light fruits. Flavor is highly yeasty with light fruits and spices. Refreshing as hell. Smooth palate, carbonation pretty high.

Awesome beer. Hoppy, for a triple, and the malt is great. Amazing hops, creamy mouthfeel, and overall awesome.

12oz. bottle: This beer come out of the bottle quite fizzy, leaving quite a head. It dropped away to nothing almost immediately. The beer itself is a cloudy, darker golden color. This has a very nice aroma. The spiciness (pepper and corriander) is the first thing that you note, followed off by a citirc breadiness. There is still a touch of the fiziness to the tongue, quite suprisingly. The taste is that of a good medium bodied beer, but the carbonation makes it taste lighter. Notes of breadiness, citrus and corriander to the taste. A very nice tripel.

Well, think I may well have tossed my original rating in a fit of frustration over my kumputter locking up.(perhaps it’s playing the xenophobe, as I was making kind statements about Canada) Nice beer, this. Peppery for sure and with other elusive (to me) spices. Very flavorful and complex.

Musky, sharp, yeasty, bread like and citrus aroma. Lively looking ale with excellent carbonation, a pale hazy color and a firm white head. Supremely balanced flavor with a bit of tartness, some yeast, a touch of malt, and a little smooth sweetness. Finishes slightly dry. Very nice. I did get a bit of a metallic flavor though and the body could be punched up a liitle, if one wants to be critical. A previous rating compares it to a cross of Duvel and a Trippel, which I think is quite accurate.

Cloudy, hazy golden colored brew. Fruity aroma. Sweet, smooth, yeasty flavor with some fruity flavors. Nice one.
