Excellent Belgian Strong Ale. Quite similar to Duvel, but a little lighter and cleaner. Pale yellow. Slightly sweet. Quite effervescent. The alcohol is hidden wonderfully. No noticable alcohol aroma, flavor, or even warming. How they hid this much alcohol in a beer this light and delicate is a mystery. An excellent beer!

2000 vintage: Gently yellow colour with high carbonation. Some apple & peach notes in the taste. Alcohol flavour is right up front (good thing, people). Very dry wine-like aftertaste. Heaps better than Duvel.

This is a magnificent beer and shows that new world beers can certainly match and exceed old world beers (ir Belgium)in a similar way that Australian Wine has kicked ass over the French. This is a standout beer that has great estery/banana flavours and could easily be the best beer that i have had made outside Belgium. It certainly tastes a lot cleaner than some of the Belgium beers out there today.

Simply an excellent beer. Pours cloudy gold with a fat white head. Aroma is full of yeast and spice, with some lighter fruits. Perfect balance of malt, yeast, and spcie in the taste, with some hops for a nice bite in the end. One of the best.

WoW, this stuff is good. everything you want in a good triple. slight citrus and coriander flavors and aromas, peachy and maybe some grapefruit. goes down smooth its very easy and enjoyable to drink. nicely priced at $5.79 for a 750ml bottle at RSVP in portland. this just might have overtaken allagash as my new favorite tripel.

Nice powerful beer, excellent with a churchill-size cigar.

A very cloudy looking brew, pours nice with a bit of a head. A very spicy tasting brew. A little hint of sweetness, finishes very nicely. This is the kind of brew you just sit back and enjoy slowly whilst watching the last minutes of the sun setting and just pondering the universe.
