Tastes very much like it smells, only more subdued. Powerful honey malt upfront leads into the strong, violent fruit that zips and zaps and leaves you wanting more as it disolves into cloves and spice.
Truly an exceptional beer. Quetzalcoatl (153), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Yeasty and spicy with a full body and complex yet delicate flavor. Lots of kick well hidden but noticeable with 9% alcohol. An excellent and memorable beer. Definite buy again. ... 12/23/2004....Rerate. Well I have certainly bought more of these since my original rating. They just seem to get better and better. An excellent triple which I am quite fond of. Fiend (104), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Cloudy copper in color, very carbonated with plenty o’head. A powerful aroma of fruit, spice and malt...surprisingly little alcohol though. The flavor was a good counter to the high abv in this triple. I’d have to say it has lived up to the hype! murawski (158), USA

Unibroue has quickly become one of my favorite breweries (mid-2006), and they seem to be flawless. This trippel had a nice spice to the flavor, and an awesome color when poured (a yellow-orange hazy color). Lively palate, and high alcohol content, but all perfectly balanced. A MUST TRY! xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2006 Bottle. New year’s champagne substitute. Much better than champagne! Golden orange with some fizzy bubbles. Tastes like a dozen fruits, pears peaches and more, slightly sweet and fizzy, goes down easy, just the way I like it. Unibroue rules. Sweet, bready, aroma is followed through in the taste with the addition of a number of spices, blended very nicely. There’s a good hit of orange in there that I really love. Yeasty and thick. Finishes with a bit of sourness and bitterness that is completely pleasant and warming. Amazing beer. A staple beer. ksigty (107), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Good head with lots of armoa. Goes down smooth with adequate aftertaste. Perfect for a hot day. I’ve never heard of a refreshing 9% beer, until now.
