| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 28, 2006 In the aroma I detected moderate yeasty dough, clove, and alcohol. In appearance it is cloudy with a golden orange body hue. Initial flavor is sweet and yeasty. Finish duration is average to long. Medium body, very lively carbonation. Overall: I love this ale. I am a big fan of belgian style ales and this one really stood out. BustedFlat (554), Edina, Minnesota, USA

(Perhaps an aggressive pour.) Aroma was of sweet citrus fruit, yeast and spice. The taste was very sweet with notes of lemon, orangle peel and other citrus fruits. There were notes of cinnamon, clove and perhaps some banana. Creamy mouthfeel. Little alcohol up front, but it did become more apparent as it warmed. This one reminded me of a hefeweizen like Paulaner, only spicier and sweeter. This one really hit the spot and it’s not even from Belgium. Heresy? We’ll see if it holds up on the re-rate.

Tastes of clove, banana, citrus, and a taste of the heavens. Active carbonation and tantalizing on the palate. All in all this is a great abbey tripel that is easy to drink and available at many stores. rodgers004 (26), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA

The complex flavor and subtle notes are really where this brew shines. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA

Tastes more like spice than fruit and has some bite from the high ABV.. An amazing beer that would not have you believe its as strong as it is
