In appearance it is cloudy with a golden orange body hue. Initial flavor is sweet and yeasty. Finish duration is average to long. Medium body, very lively carbonation. Overall: I love this ale. I am a big fan of belgian style ales and this one really stood out. dmac (1500), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Hazy golden orange with some visible carbonation in the center if you looked hard enough and a huge white head. I was a little suprised that there was barely any lacing left on my glass. Aroma changed significantly throughout this beer it started with classic belgian style, spicy yeast, and as it warmed fruity, banana and lemon, and towards the end sweetness, candy and bubblegum. Flavor was smooth and drinkable with notes of yeast, lemon and banana. Great beer on a beautiful day, life is good. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 17, 2007 12oz bottle, served in a tulip. Pours with a huge, gigantic, enormous, larger than life fluffy white head. Takes about 15 minutes to finally get all of the beer in the glass, then another 5 or so for the head to settle enough to drink. Golden body with a very lively carbonation display. Sheets of white lacing cling to the sides of the glass. Aromas of funky yeasts, candied sugars, peaches, pears, spices. Flavors of peaches, sugars, sweet malts, spices, and some sour notes. Palate is slightly sticky but not overdone. Light to medium bodied on the tongue, finishes slightly dry, sweet and silky smooth. the alcohol is very well hidden, and as a result makes this beer dangerously drinkable. Excellent. When you live in a state with backwards liquor laws like PA, and you have to buy cases of beer, because the nearest bottle shop is either across state lines or over an hour drive, its beers like this that make you happy duriing "blind buys".
The tripel smell is present here, notes of honey/sugar and cloves are very present on it.
Pour is a nice hazy tripel yellow with a nice foam head.
Tastes : Delicious. Very good version of a tripel, refreshingly sweet. Has a great overall presentation, and a fantastic aftertaste.
This is one beer that will always have a place in my home. locust (10), Brampton, Ontario, Canada

Tastes more like spice than fruit and has some bite from the high ABV.. An amazing beer that would not have you believe its as strong as it is beernovice39 (297), South Carolina, USA

Complex aroma and the taste is just as complex and cleverly disguised the alcohol! Thank you Canada! Oddefellowe (41), Tampa, Florida, USA

Tasted notes of young white grapefruit, a mild floral arrangement, and light hops. Highly drinkable, but definitely not abrasive considering the high ABV. Great beer!
