| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Pours a very dark brownish black color with a nice big head and plenty of lace. The aroma is plum cherry and alcohol with plenty of floral and estery aromas. The flavor is fruity and lightly roasty with some apple and cherry and plenty of spice. The flavor displays just a slight hint of warming alcohol note and just a faint tartness. The palate is creamy and full. I could easily believe that this beer is half it’s strength. Smooth and drinkable without negating flavor or texture. smith4498 (910), Miami, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Dark reddish brown, big chunky tan head. Aroma was very fruity. Closely resembles Juicy Juice. Lots of cherry aroma and flavor. Little bit of sourness. 10.5% alcohol was totally hidden. I’m not sure if that’s really a good or a bad thing. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2009 750 ml bottle at C’est What? in Toronto.
Opaque black with a large tan head.
Hints of pine and licorice.
Creamy chocolate mousse flavor with an edge of slight smoke. Finish of cocoa and milk chocolate. Alcohol shows through, otherwise I’d give it a 4.5 for taste.
Great body.
Definitely to be sought out. jimmiec (62), Louisiana, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 1, 2009 I’ve sampled Unibroue beers in the past, but this is my favorite from the Unibroue family. Fairly strong alcohol content of 10.5 %. Nice taste. Very rich and complex. I will be purchasing more of this brew in the future. A must try! chickenflea (24), Oviedo, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2009 On tap at local pub. Dark with creamy head. Raisin and plum aroma. Sweet and smooth. Medium body. Little carbonation. Truly a unique beer. Had I drank it blindfolded, I could have been convinced that this was wine. Very pleasant. luttonm (307), Belgrade, Serbia
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Pleasantly surprised with this. Strong sweet-yeast nose like most Unibroue beers but with a lot more character on the dark, evil end. Mouthfeel is stout and smooth with all manner of spice and tasty sweets. Molasses, coffee and raisins. Dark but not purely black pour with a bubbly tanned head that has stayed around for awhile. Alc does come in, but rather perfectly. A bit sticky finish with a rush of malts. Nice and impressive, but not top-shelf.
