tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Dec 15, 2007 Fruity, yeasty aroma typical to this type of beer. This one is very pleasing. Nice ruby red color, good carbonation. The flavor is fruity, malty, very agreeable. (Note: it is essential that you try this beer at cellar temperature, and not any colder, or the experience will be diminshed). Nice lingering sweet malty taste on the palate. Thin to medium in mouthfeel. Very good beer overall, from a well respected brewer. robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Dec 13, 2007 Updated: Jun 20, 2009old rating:

pours a dark copper, very large bubbly white head, lots of lacing.
smell of malt, caramel, roasted nuts, yeast, pear, prunes, some spice, and a bit of alcohol.
taste is fresh and crisp, some sour malt, pear and apple, touch of spice, few malts, some nuts, little citrus, and leaves the mouth sweet. JoeZasada (133), Beaumont, Alberta, Canada Dec 12, 2007 Thick foamy head, light maltiness, light hoppiness, fruity yeast taste... a delicious strong ale... DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Dec 11, 2007 Solid, dubbel-like, amber, chillin-out Beligan style ale. A very relaxing Belgian, I must say. Enjoyable indeed!!! Not too sweet either, any chicken dish would be a good partner with this brew. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Dec 10, 2007 341ml bottle.
Pours a dark orange brown with off-white head. Smells of yeasty fruit and a little bit of smoke. Some citrus and alcohol. Taste is sweet and fruity. Some bready flavour too. The alcohol hits the mouth all over. Finishes on a creamy and bready flavour with underlying fruit. Not what i was expecting but quite nice. interesting beer. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA Dec 10, 2007 pours a dark red-brown mahogany color with a beige head. aroma is malt, but has an interesting sweet twang to it. taste is spice, malt, some light fruit, and a little alcohol. had this with spicy curry-chicken, and it was a great match! unibroue’s beers fascinate me because they’re so sweet, but not sicky sweet. they balance the flavor with the refreshing nature of beer so well! Fightfire4beer (125), Virginia, USA Dec 9, 2007 Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a thick off white head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Wow. This beer tastes like Christmas... a hint of fruit, clove and cinnamon. After it warms some more it gives way to a sugary malt taste. Mild alcohol presence. Great beer. A Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA Dec 8, 2007 Pours a dark brown color with a large off-white head. The flavor is immensely complex, it starts with sweet malt with a bit of bite, and finishes softer with some fruit and hop notes.
Another wonderful brew from Unibroue, highly recommended
