1 year aged bottle shared by chadspivey. Thanks man!
Pours a dark reddish maroon color with a clearness too it still. Smell is sweet, gummi cherry candy mostly. Taste is similar with a sweet but pleasant, and not cloying cherry gummi flavor. Smooth and slighty syrupy body with no carbonation. Actually enjoyed this one quite a bit and wouldn’t mind trying again.

’02 Bottle: Courtesy of cmr1517...thanks Chris. I decided that I would rate this after trying it both chilled and hot. Cold: Beautiful light ruby colored pour with no head...nose hints at spiced malts, cherries and some other berry notes. Flavor was of tart cherries and a bready malt background. Warm: Nose definitely leans more towards a cherry pie type of aroma which reminded of a lighter version of Belgian Red...warming this seemed to eliminate some of the tartness of the cherries, some vinous qualities are present and just like any warmed alcoholic drink, it reminded me of wassel. Good stuff and I definitely prefer it warmed

Poured cold w/ a tawny cherrywood color and a dead head. Aromas of sour cherries. Medium nectar w/ pretty much flat line effers. Defined cherry sweetness w/ a balanced souring agent. It’s not too sweet at all and pushes a bit of cheerful holiday spice forward. The finish lingers with a mild souring.

750ml bottle, Best before 07-17-2021. Pours ruby red in color with no head at all. Aroma sweet, cherries, clove and vanilla. Taste is the same as the aroma with light tart and with alcohol finish.

Bottle from a small store in Winters, CA. Found it covered in dust and thought I would take a chance. Unfortunatley I don’t think it was kept to preserve flavor. There was absolutley no pop when we opened the bottle. Although there was no carbonation the cherry flavor was still okay. Will have to try again.

DTM found this one at a liquor store near him covered in dust. I’m not sure it aged well while it was there. We also neglected to drink it hot. I have to try it again to get the real impression.

2002. 700th rating. Sampling at both room temp and hot. Pours a darker amber color with pretty much no head. Room temp: Aroma is of cherry, vanilla, maybe a hint of some cinnamon, caramel malts, and a slight hint of alcohol. Flavor was notably cherry at first, gives way to the spices and then finishes with a very slight warming. At this point I have a feeling this is going to taste better hot. Hot: Aroma is stronger once heated. The spices are coming out a little more, as well as the alcohol. Same with the flavor. All the flavor as coming out more as I expected it would. Palate is much thicker when hot as well. I wouldn’t rate this as one of the best beers I’ve had but it’s interesting and still delicious.
