| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Feb 14, 2007 first of all,two diferent vintages, one 2002 in i pint,0.9 ounce bottle, one unknown in 750 with complete black foil covering(i have pics). 750 was drunk hot, amazing flavor, and depth on that cold night, cherry, cherry, CHERRY!not much carbonation and the heat turned it into basically a slightly spicy cherry mulled cider. second 2002 vintage drank at room tempature.AMAZING! the diference in heating and natural temp is interesting, more acidic notes, but cherry taste seems a bit sweeter, little carbonation, but nice body and mouth feel. if i could find, i would gladly drink again and again. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Beautiful red color but absolutely no sign of carbonation. Aroma is sweet and sour with cherries. Taste is thick and sweet with a hint of spice. Cloying like a cherry cough syrup, and almost as viscous. $8/750 Heathen (800), Riverside, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2007 THOUGHTS: First I tried it heated. Aroma is better before heating. A unique experience. Doesn’t really taste like what you think of as beer, but very pleasing. Would have rated flavor even higher but it’s a little too one sided. On the rocks it is a little sweater, but I think I prefoer it heated because it seems less like fruit juice. I also tried it room temp., which was a little harsh. It is a truly versatile beer. Even thought the ABV isn’’t very high, it hides the alcohol well. I could barely tell it was an alcoholic beverage. It is a must try for those of us always looking for something different.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, dark red brown with a small, off-white (pinkish), soapy head that mostly diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was mostly sour cherry, but could have been a little stronger. The flavor was all sour cherry thoughout with a short to average finish. The body was medium and syrupy with flat carbonation and a sour finish feel. On the rocks the texture was a little dry. jcwattsrugger (5393), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is malt, cherry, vinegar. Taste is somewhat cherry-sharp, tart, vinegar, malt. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Pours a brick red color, very lightly carbonated, almost no head. Some bubbly flecks of foam for lacing. Not a pretty beer, but not supposed to be pretty either. Strong aroma of cherry and spice.
Nice combination and balance of flavor – tart Traverse City cherry, flowery sweetness, cherry pit, and dry and flowery spices like pie spice (apple pie? pumpkin pie?) or better yet hot cider mulling spices. Medium body, next to no carbonation, alcoholic and smooth. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2007 In addition to the keg of Old Rasputin and at a friend’s Super Bowl party on 2/04/2007, there were also many other great beers. Among the brew shared was a 750 mL bottle of Unibroue Quelque Chose. We chose to drink this beer on ice since it was already cold...
Unibroue Quelque Chose is red in color and quite clear. The aroma is mostly cherry with some cinnamon notes. The flavor was sweet cherry, a hint of spice (cinammon), and then a balancing sour cherry in the finish. The balancde between sweet and sour/tart was quite well done and very refreshing. Medium body and not too thin or syrupy. This is an interesting and from what I hear, it is even better hot. I will have to try it that way next time... Thank you Ken and Cindy for sharing this tasty beer. I enjoyed it and I know my wife really liked it as well. Finally, another beer that she likes...

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Headless (as I guess it should be) and murky burgundy. Dried-fruit nose. Texture is soft, syrupy and very lightly carbonated. Malts are sweet and filled with fruit flavors like raisins, plums, figs and cherries, of course. A pinch of cocoa surfaces here and there. Sugared spices are also evident, especially cinnamon. I also thought I detected some others spices, like allspice and nutmeg, though they may not be in the beer. Overall, it was a pleasant beer, albeit a little too sweet for me. My main complaint is that its heavy sweetness wasn’t balanced out by enough alcohol, bitterness or carbonation.
