| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 6, 2009 A dark reddish-brown beer with a small head with an evenly placed amount of small bubbles streaming up the glass like small strings of pearls. The aroma is very fruity with a little bit of funk. The taste is dark fruit, more funk, & a carbonated mouthfeel. This is complex flavors going down very smooth & absolutely no taste of alcohol. This beer is very alive in the glass & my favorite from Unibroue. WVHouseofBeer (356), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA

A nice tan head gives way to delicate fruit and spice aroma. A dark brown color permeates a nutty, cinnamon, and fruit taste that makes up for the lightly carbonated body. This beer is better than the La Terrible, thus it deserves a slight nod for a higher rating. cgreb (179), Marburg, Germany

Plenty of yeast and dark fruit in both nose and flavor. Nice mouthfeel. High abv well hidden. Weedking4 (33), Stratford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a very dark black. Has that initial wine taste up front, like the La Fin Du Monde, but very different after taste. I’m having a lingering after taste of pear here. Maybe i’m crazy. Very nice beer though, easy to drink. Can’t taste the alc. % at all. Very solid brew.
