Hazy dark amber. Wonderful creamy-ish aroma with mostly figs, kind of velvetty. Rich tidbitty flavour from prune, Seville Orange and licorice. Also quite malty and with small notes of ginger. A bit frothy mouthfeel but this will turn creamy and velvetty in a year or two. Very well balanced. Thanks to Dixen for bringing this from Naestved. Lots of nice bubble action. Aroma and flavour of sweet malt, dark fruit, alcohol, banana and spices. Medium body with a little too much carbonation. Not as good as I remembered but still very enjoyable and one of my favourite Unibroue beers. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA

The lacing was sparse on the sides of my glass. The body was a reddish brown. The aroma was fruity and sweet. This brew had a smooth taste and a good mouthfeel. I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed drinking this brew!! Do we have more of this one thedm?? TomDecapolis (3168), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2005 Had as part of a flight at the Washington House Unibroue beer tasting. This was the fourth I had in the flight. Floral aroma that poured a mahogany in color. Some citrus candied sugar and molasses in the aroma. Can sense the alcohol in the initial taste. Tingles on the tongue. Another nice beer from Unibroue.
