I get alot of dark fruits in the aroma, however i also get some funky ass paste aroma. Starts out with sugar coated peaches in the body, then some slight bitterness and alot of raisons. I also get a really dry feel from it, maybe if you made wine out of raisons you would get this. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2002 I’m not a huge fan of high alcohol content beers, and Trois Pistoles falls into that category. Belgian wheat aroma. Beautiful deep red hue, with off-white, creamy, lasting head. Sweet and flavorful. Although alcohol is noticeable, it is not as overbearing as a 9% ABV brew normally is. Solid, but is borderline hard to drink. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Bottle: Nice dark pour with fruity and malty aroma. Taste is a blend of roasted malts, fruitiness (cherry and plum), yeast, and some sugary sweetness. Nice complex taste that is still balanced and very refreshing. blipp (1722), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours very dark and cloudy brown with a beige head that never really goes away. Aroma is sweet ripe fruit, almost like a nice red wine, with notes of cherry, berry, prune and apricot. Full and velvety body. Flavors are subtle and never overpowering. Berry, plum, peach, yeast, raisin, and probably much more my unworthy palate can’t find. Very nice, very well balanced, easy to drink. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Big malty flavors and a sucker punch of a 9% that both S. and I supposed as a 6 or 7. Some fig and cheese flavors. May be the best Unibroue. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2004 pours dark brown in color with a nice tan head that goes away the more that is poured. i must say, i was expecting this to be alot better than it was. this beer is no where near as good as ommegang. smell is fruity with a hint of raisins, and taste is smooth with a nice fruity flavor left after the beer is swallowed. a bit over rated, but still a good beer that is worth trying.
