Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

Deep brown color with a beige head. The taste is sweet with a balanced maltyness and complex bitterness. Heavy but not to much.

Open carefully, this one likes to overflow maybe because it is refermented in the bottle, very good carbonation and head but not much lace. Cloudy reddish brown, nose is raisiny so is taste. Smooth, full bodied and malty - very easy to drink but savor at 9% ABV. $1.50 for a 330ml bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

Bottle. Pours very dark and cloudy brown with a beige head that never really goes away. Aroma is sweet ripe fruit, almost like a nice red wine, with notes of cherry, berry, prune and apricot. Full and velvety body. Flavors are subtle and never overpowering. Berry, plum, peach, yeast, raisin, and probably much more my unworthy palate can’t find. Very nice, very well balanced, easy to drink.

Bottle, at Waldo Pizza KCMO. Dark Brown, somewhat hazy pour. Aroma has a yeastiness to it, but mostly its the big malt that you smell. Taste has a big body and many layers of flavor, malt, with some dried fruit sweetness. Nice finish.

Dark tan head, nice laceing hanging on. Beautiful clear amber color with ruby highlights. Fruity spicey nose , some alc. also. Body is med/full , nice mouthfeel, carbonation is a little high. Fruity , yeasty , earthy notes, some cinnamon, vanilla, lots going on. Finish is dry and fruity. Need to lay some down.

Bottle pours out a nice mahogany topped with a small head. Aroma of sweet pit fruit and rich malt. Tast was more of the sweetness along with a nice spice. Plenty of the belg yeast and malts. A nice brew.
