| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2004 I keep finding a similar quality in the Uni-products. not really a bad thing, nor is it unusual in brewery output. And no, it isn't a Canadian bashing thang either for those of you that have tuned in during that brief sitcom. The complexity is there, but as if it is hiding under plexiglass. Admit that I was deeply affected by "cedar fever" for those that understand what havoc that wreaks. I still have a Terrible waiting, so there's every chance the love affair could blossom. kwoeltje (1333), Manchester, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2004 Deep brown. Malt aroma. Mild malt flavors with a hint of sweetness. Yeast flavors as well. I liked it, but it wasn't as good as I was expecting given the way people rave about it. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2004 Smells of yeast, black pepper, cherry, maybe a little leather. Deep, opaque mahogany with thin tan head. Mellow in mouth feel with a slightly saccharine finish. Earth, plum, yeast and spice in the flavor. Exceedingly well balanced ale that continues to give up new flavors as it warms. JMerritt (1323), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 20, 2002 Dark cloudy brown in color, nice light-brown head. Moderate sweet malt aroma. Very full bodied, light carbonation. Bitter, dry, and slightly alcoholic. Well worth the money. Definitely one of Canada’s best. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Bottle... Poured deep, opaque ruby with a beige head. Aroma of figs, fruit and roasted malt which lends to alcohol. Great carbonation and bubbles on the palate. Flavors of ripe fruit like plums and raisons that create a sweetness that match the malt nicely. Tiny bit of citrus and maybe hops, but just there to accent. Alcohol presence is low for 9%/ BelgianBeerGal (1322), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Poured a hazy dark brown colour. The aroma and flavour are ripe with spicy fruit and floral notes. Great beer. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
