Feb 12, 2004 Updated: Sep 5, 2006Port masquerading as beer. Deep murky, ruby color. Smells of grapes, cherries, oak, spice and figs. Tastes like sweet figs, and raisins, clove and other spices, banana and some nice chocolate in there too. Alcohol is present with a nice warming glow. I could drink this through winter, hell, I could drink it year round. It is best after a big holiday meal, I always have one after Thanksgiving dinner. This is excellent stuff.

Mar 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 9, 2008The ideal winter ale for me...rich, malty, subtly spicy, nice caramel, and that touch of Belgian yeastiness. The finish is long, smooth, and warming, and the body is velvety, and slightly creamy. Yum!
